XOUL (소울, pronounced “soul”) is a Korean skincare brand run by CROSSJ Co., Ltd., based in Sinsa-dong, Gangnam, Seoul. The brand describes itself as an “early anti-aging” skincare brand: it focuses on the skin aging that, in its words, starts in your 30s, working with ingredient suppliers and research teams.

According to the brand, the name comes from the Korean word 소울 (疏鬱), meaning “to loosen what feels stifled”.

XOUL says it does not rely on labels like “organic” or “vegan” alone. It selects ingredients with scientific backing, leaves out what it calls concept ingredients, colorants and silicones, and discloses its full ingredient lists and the concentration of each product’s active ingredients. The brand prefers a small number of products over a large catalog, with light textures and a pleasant scent.

The Realagen 500,000PPM Ampoule (spelled “Reallagen” in our product title) is XOUL’s anti-aging ampoule. According to the brand, it contains up to 500,000 ppm of a yeast-derived, vegan, human-like collagen, comes in five 7 ml vials to keep the formula fresh, and has no oil, silicone or preservatives. Use it after toner.

The MTS Microneedle Device is a home skincare device. The brand says it combines 540 microneedles of 0.25 mm, micro-vibration and 650 nm LED light, and is designed to help your skincare absorb. Follow the instructions included with the device.

The After Glow Cleansing Balm melts from balm to oil, then to milk when you add water. The brand says it removes makeup and waterproof sunscreen, can also be used as a massage balm or wash-off mask, and is made with a natural oil blend built around lavender, without parabens, phenoxyethanol, sulfate surfactants or artificial colors.

The Silky Smoothing Cleansing Ball is a soft silicone cleansing tool covered in tiny bumps. You pump air into it to make it softer or firmer, it needs no charging, and the brand recommends using it with a cleanser.

The UV Mild Suncream uses five UV filters against UVA and UVB, according to the brand, with a light texture close to a moisturizing cream and a formula the brand presents as gentle around the eyes.

The Extreme Frozen Mask is a cooling mask. XOUL talks about “thermal aging”, the idea that heat in the skin plays a part in skin aging, and says this mask cools the skin without needing to be kept in the fridge.

Evening: massage the After Glow Cleansing Balm on dry skin, add water, rinse; use the Cleansing Ball with your cleanser if you like. Then toner and the Realagen Ampoule.
