The SUNGBOON EDITOR guide

About SUNGBOON EDITOR

SUNGBOON EDITOR is a Korean skincare brand run by Olive International Co., Ltd. Its name comes from “sungboon” (성분), the Korean word for ingredient, and the brand calls itself an “Ingredient Editing Skincare” brand. Its short logo, sbedt, also stands for the five principles the brand says it follows: Selected Ingredient, Balanced Formulation, Effective Results, Daily Habit of Comfort and Trust in Science.

What “ingredient editing” means

According to the brand, no single ingredient is the answer for every skin. So SUNGBOON EDITOR starts from a skin concern, picks and combines ingredients for it, then tests and refines the formula. Its motto sums it up: “Fine Ingredients. Edited For Effect.” That is why each line is named after its hero ingredient: Green Tomato, Marine Astaxanthin, Deep Collagen, Silk Peptide, Red Houttuynia BHA and more.

The Green Tomato Pore line

The Green Tomato Pore line is the brand’s pore and skin-texture range, and its ampoule is featured first on the brand’s official Korean store. It covers every step: cleansing foam, cleansing oil, enzyme cleansing powder, wipes, toner, concentrated ampoule, cream, face mist, sunscreen, sheet masks and exfoliating pads.

The other lines

  • Marine Astaxanthin: ampoules, creams and sunscreen for dull, uneven-looking skin, according to the brand’s Korean store.
  • Wild Grape Vitamin C: sold on the brand’s Korean packaging as Muscat Grape Vita C, for a brighter-looking tone.
  • Deep Collagen: sheet masks, patches, ampoule, cream and mist for moisture and bounce.
  • Silk Peptide: toner, ampoules, creams, eye cream and a cushion foundation.
  • Red Houttuynia BHA: calming face and body care.
  • Also: Apple Peel Smooth, Blue Agave Hyaluronic, Kojic Niacinamide Brightening, PDRN Pink Glow and Ceramides.

Which SUNGBOON EDITOR for your skin?

  • New to the brand: start with the Green Tomato Pore Concentrated Ampoule.
  • Visible pores, rough texture: the Green Tomato Pore line.
  • Dull, uneven-looking tone: Marine Astaxanthin or Wild Grape Vitamin C.
  • Dry skin that needs bounce: Deep Collagen or Blue Agave Hyaluronic.
  • Oily, stressed skin: Red Houttuynia BHA.

How to build a SUNGBOON EDITOR routine

Morning: Green Tomato Pore Cleansing Foam, then the toner, the Concentrated Ampoule, the cream and a SUNGBOON EDITOR sunscreen.
Evening: cleansing oil, foam, ampoule and cream. Add a Deep Collagen sheet mask or a modeling mask as a weekly extra. Use toner pads and exfoliants a few times a week, not every day. New product? Patch test first.
