Talitha Koum is a Korean skincare brand from Seoul (Talitha Koum Co., Ltd.), made for sensitive skin with daily moisture-barrier care at its heart. Its name means “Little one, arise.”

According to the brand, founder Moonsun Chai started it from her own experience with sensitive skin and her concern for her children. In 2023 the brand opened its TK& flagship store in Sinsa, Seoul.

The brand works with Korean white dandelion, a flower native to Korea. Working with the biotech company BIO-FD&C over three years, it developed a way to culture the flower’s plant tissue and create its own extract, protected by a U.S. patent (11,684,564 B2) and a Korean patent, according to the brand.

This extract is the base of the HM+Barrier™ line, launched in 2021. The Brighteous range followed in 2023 and the Lipcure Balmtik in 2024.

Talitha Koum states that it uses no animal-derived ingredients. It holds The Vegan Society certification and PETA Cruelty-Free and Vegan approval, and its formulas are assessed by the German institute Dermatest, according to the brand.
